The Legacy That Lives On
Newcess Foundation was established to continue the legacy of the late Hon. David G. Moore, a former Representative of Grand Bassa County, and Felicia J. Moore, a dedicated nurse committed to serving her community.
In 1972, Hon. Moore donated land and built a school to expand educational opportunity in Newcess. He also helped establish a clinic to provide basic healthcare services in a region where access remains limited.
Today, the Foundation carries forward their shared vision—strengthening education, restoring access to care, and supporting long-term community development.
The Need is Urgent
Newcess Public School currently serves more than 250 students, yet the learning environment faces significant challenges that impact both educational quality and student experience.
Classrooms are in need of repair, resources are limited, and students often learn in overcrowded conditions.
The school remains operational because of the community’s commitment—but without support, these conditions will continue to limit opportunity for students and families.

Current Priority: School Rehabilitation
Our immediate focus is improving the learning environment at Newcess Public School, which serves more than 250 students in the Newcess community.
This project is designed to strengthen educational access by addressing the most urgent needs within the school.
